This book has been framed by two central questions: What determines how governments choose to respond to internationalization of their currency (the use question) and what sets a limit to the effectiveness of currency statecraft (the utility question)? A good number of useful insights emerge from the discussion. These may be grouped under four headings: (1) first principles; (2) the use question; (3) the utility question; and (4) practical implications.
