Non-disclosing children continue to challenge interviewers of sexual abuse cases, but there has been less progress in developing techniques for assisting them than disclosing children, in part because constructing appropriate research paradigms is so difficult. This chapter covers research from several domains that yields an estimate of the extent of non-disclosure. It also provides advice from research and practice on techniques that may be useful with children who are reluctant to talk about sexual abuse.Less
