Some of the common questions concerned with looking into the threads of poetry that have proliferated in Brazil in the context of the Americas—United States, Spanish America, and the entire hemisphere—involve how poetic appeals to the selves may enable one to be simultaneously more oneself and more national, and how poems may bring about novel perspectives on cybernetic environments. Historical and current lyric links between the USA and Brazil encompass not only national languages but also various dimensions of popular culture such as music, film, and tourism. Song and verse in Latin America often concern histories and mythologies, varied styles, and activism in the present day that all lead to globalization. This chapter attempts to look into how transamerican poetics is focused more on the lyric genre, and how the directions of cultural flow are affected.Less
