This chapter deals with transformation after the disaster. The effects of Fukushima are incalculable—on the earth, on the regions, the seas, and for the economies of energy of a country. What is incommensurable however is very different. It involves what is beyond human, the topsy-turvy turning of distribution of substances, characters, and registers through all modes of existence, representation, conception, and imagination. There follows transformation but which does not have unity or laws to guide it. Where the world before was ordered, with all its systems and hierarchies, there is now a transformation that is heading in clear direction. This is also true for all types of transformation, transmutation, and transposition. In the center of all these, there can arise a circulation and interaction which place existences in an ever tighter and more networked interrelation and interdependence.Less
