This chapter summarizes the findings of the research team, and notes the comments and opinions of Deputy Minister Burgasov on the draft of the author's epidemiology article. It discusses Burgasov's questions on why there were no people in Compound 19 who were infected if they were in the path of the wind and the relevance of the timing of the animal outbreak. The chapter also discusses the three men who were linked to the outbreak, namely Burgasov, Dr. Nikiforov, and Dr. Bezdenezhnikh, and presents an outline of the events during the early stages of the outbreak.Less
