Affirmative nomadology maintains that the market is one representation of a potential vehicle for nomadic social organization. The primary task for the concept of free-market communism will be to draw careful distinctions between markets and capitalism, for the potential benefits of market organization are almost completely negated by private capital’s control over them. This chapter analyzes the benefits and the factors involved in the formation of a nomad market, particularly its detachment from capital control. It cites Deleuze and Guattari’s political philosophy, primarily drawing from the Marxist concepts of mode of production and universal history.Less
