This concluding chapter outlines Agnès Varda's overall influence not only in the world of cinema, but to the society as well. With a career spanning almost sixty years, Varda's films are also enlightening documents which illustrate legal changes and evolving attitudes in France, which bear witness to activism, and confirm the provocative potential of feminist issues both in France and abroad. Her work is committed to feminism in many different ways as it compels the viewer to question established definitions of gender, and to review the patriarchal structures of French society. The chapter also synthesizes all of the overarching concepts discussed in the previous chapters to shed light on significant connections between otherwise disparate productions. It highlights their significance to understanding Varda's works and their potential for further investigation.
