Abstract

This book tells the story of the first all-female formed police unit (FFPU) deployed in UN peacekeeping. The 105 members of this FFPU were recruited from India’s Central Reserve Police Force, a paramilitary police force. They were then deployed to Liberia, which was recovering from a fourteen-year civil war.
