This chapter studies the relationship between social justice and devolution. It summarises the degree of devolution to Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. It is focused in those policy areas that are important to distributive social justice and the ‘social rights of citizenship’ of T.H. Marshall. An overview of the theoretical debates on the relationship between distributive social justice and devolution is provided. The actual scope for divergence in the UK and the relationship between devolution and social justice are discussed.
