This chapter draws together and provides some additional commentary on the themes that have emerged throughout the book. It re-examines the idea that research use matters. It outlines the sorts of contributions that can be made by more effective engagement with research. In summarising the insights about research use, it draws out the implications for enhancing that use of policy and practice settings. It also emphasizes the implications of these insights for wider conceptualisations of evidence. Lastly, it examines the areas for further research that might enhance the growing knowledge about research use.
