This chapter studies the inequalities in the daily lives of teenagers and young adults. It analyses the patterns of time use of teenagers and young adults in four industrialised countries: Italy, Austria, Finland, and Canada. The chapter documents the inequalities of young people as revealed by their patterns of time use. The data that are used and presented in the chapter provide a glimpse into the world of young people, and a summary of the first exploration of time budget data is used to approach the topic of inequalities and social exclusion.
