Chapter nine reveals the ways in which FBOs provide relief services for homeless people. It looks at the importance of third sector involvement, especially from FBOs, and uses evidence from the FACIT project to show how FBOs provide help across countries. The chapter discusses the services FBOs can provide, and their strategies. Finally, FBOs are cost-effective and it is argued, they provide trusted services that contribute to the developing charitable city.
