Chapter Seven deals with how FBOs participate and therefore attempt to bring about change. It explores the argument that participation in decision making is vital but also highlights the shortcomings involved in the participatory process as well, for example certain value systems within FBOs and the faith dimension can lead to the exclusion of certain social groups.
